so seeing i finally have a slightly useful amount of bls i went to make baby to see the cost (i can't for second planet *just* yet) of the second planet's resource needs... i got hit with a road block, which is cool and does keep you from having more than you can handle, i sorta don't have the info i need ^^

so what is the second planet's costs?

and maybe note that
Uh oh. You can't have a baby yet.
Before you can have a baby, you need enough food to feed your mossm family for 7 days. You currently have 880 food, which is enough for 6 days. Including your new baby, you will have 14 mossms. This means you will need to have 980 food in your account before you can have a baby.

on or if someone actually tries to have one :)

I have a different question about planet cost...
A friend and I were discussing the fact that one planet costs only SLK and the other SLK and BLS. Would you have a higher chance of getting better Mossms in the pricier planet?

Zermit asked:

The costs of the second planet is 1920 SLK and 1920 BLS. You can tell what the cost of each planet is, because it's listed under the planet selector:

If it's not very clear, perhaps we should change it to make it more obvious that those are the planet costs for the selected planets. Any ideas of how we might change it to improve it? Maybe the font is a little small...

Then you got the error saying you need 7 days of food before you can have a baby:
Uh oh. You can't have a baby yet.
Before you can have a baby, you need enough food...

Oops! We need to send you more food right away. We'll send more food to everyone as soon as we can get that loaded into our delivery system, which will probably take us a day or two. In the mean time, I have zapped you some extra food directly into your account.

There was a small group of people in closed beta who started a few days ahead of everyone else, and Zermit is one of them. They're the ones that are going to have trouble expanding their families due to food today-- it'll be a couple days before everyone else runs into that problem. I'm going to go ahead and zap food into the accounts of all the closed beta people now. When Asymmetrical is available later today we'll start the process of sending food to everybody else.

Eina's question about planet cost-- I'll answer that in another message in a few minutes when I'm done making it so Zermit and the other closed beta people can have babies again.

The simple answer is: yes. The more complex answer is that every planet offers different things, and you get some of the coolest stuff by mixing things you get from different planets. So planet 2 does offer cooler things than planet 1, but it gets even cooler when you get things from higher planets and mix them with things from lower planets.

What kind of baby you have depends on the dna of the parents, and the planet is like a third parent. The dna of the grandparents, great grandparents, and so on is still involved, although each generation further back has less influence. But the most prominent things involved in what a baby will be is the mother, father, and planet. Each of the planets offers different characteristics that have a chance of coming forward. There is a different color you can get from each planet. There are also different ways of blending colors from multiple parents that come from each planet. These things combine to produce different kinds of possible babies. Over a thousand different textures are possible, but some of the characteristics are more common than others.

Also, each planet has two different totally unique mossms you have a chance of getting. So there are a total of 4 different unique mossms possible to get from planets 1 and 2 together. (One person I know of has already received one of these uniques!) We've made 8 unique mossms so far, two for each planet, and we think they basically get cooler as you move up the line to the more expensive planets.
