what is the whirly pop collection - how does one complete it

On that page, it lists each of the types of Mossms you need to complete the collection, and how many of each you need. Each of those is a link, so you can see what the name means. So for example, the first thing it says you need is 2 Orbital Thought Ninja Mossms, which if you click the link, you can see an orbital Thought Ninja is a darkgrey curly.

As for how to complete a collection, you send Mossms exploring using the space probe, and that lets you apply the Mossms to collections they're eligible for. You can find out more about how collections work here: http://mossms.com/content/collections/
